Dixon man dies in motorcycle crash
A Dixon man is dead after investigators say he was involved in a motorcycle crash yesterday morning, according to a news release from the Whileside County Sheriff’s Office.

The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office was called to a single vehicle motorcycle crash on Dixon Avenue west of Stacie Lane on Saturday, March 16 at about 7:05 a.m. The Crash Reconstruction Unit determined that the motorcycle, driven by Shawn Keane, 46 of Dixon, was traveling eastbound on Dixon Avenue at a high rate of speed, left the roadway and partially impacted a utility pole, the release said. Keane was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Whiteside County Coroner’s Office, Illinois Conservation Police, Rock Falls Police, CGH EMS, Rock Falls Fire Department and Slim ‘N Hanks.
